“The Chosen” is looking for a couple of Texans for season 7 filming.

The biblical drama, based on the life of Jesus, has primarily filmed at Camp Hoblitzelle in Midlothian since season 3. Ahead of its Nov. 15 premiere on Prime Video, “The Chosen” released its first trailer for season 6 last month.

Season 7 production began in late April in Midlothian, moved to Utah for a few weeks in June, and returned to the Metroplex later that month.

Texas-based Brock Allen Casting recently posted a notice for filming later this week. Here’s what to know.

‘The Chosen’ casting photo doubles

Brock Allen is looking for photo doubles for filming in Midlothian on Friday, Aug. 14.

A photo double looks like the principal actor as much as possible, and is used when a character is in a scene but not the main focus. This then frees up the actor to prepare for other scenes.

To apply for “Photo double A,” the person needs to match the following specifications:

To apply for “Photo double B,” the person needs to match the following specifications:

The pay rate for both of these roles is $200 for 12 hours of work.

“The Chosen” is described as “a historical drama based on the life of Jesus and those who knew him.”

The series stars Jonathan Roumie, Paras Patel, Shahar Isaac, George H. Xanthis, Elizabeth Tabish, Noah James, Abe Bueno-Jallad, Jordan Walker Ross, Vanessa Benavente, Luke Dimyan, Richard Fancy, Paul Ben-Victor and Andrew James Allen.

Season 5 followed Holy Week and the Last Supper, and season 6 will cover the Crucifixion and the final 24 hours of Jesus’ life before he is nailed to the cross. Season 7 will cover the Resurrection.

“The Chosen” season 7 premiere will have a theatrical release on March 31, 2028. It’s unclear when the rest of the season will release and how many episodes are in it.

“The Chosen” seasons 1-5 are streaming on Prime Video.
