Joshua Emanuel Biosah was arrested Tuesday night after authorities accused him of carrying an unholstered handgun inside the Toyota Center, where a sold-out Don Toliver concert was abruptly cut short.
Biosah, 30, was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon in a public place, a misdemeanor, according to Harris County court documents.

Court documents allege Biosah intentionally displayed the handgun in plain view inside Toyota Center and was not carrying it in a holster.
Biosah was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 19.
According to a representative from Atlantic Records, Toliver’s label, the performance was cut short “out of an abundance of caution for the safety of fans, the artist and event staff.” The Houston Police Department and Toyota Center did not respond to repeated requests for comment.
Adding to the confusion, an unseen person took to the microphone on stage and urged people to “sit the f— down” because the show wasn’t over. Seconds later, the full house lights flooded the arena, and an announcer directed people to the exits.
“Sorry for the inconvenience. The show is over,” he said. “Please go to the nearest exit. Exit safely. Thank you, and have a good night.”
Before the commotion, Toliver delivered a high-energy set and joined fans on the floor for a few songs. Just 20 minutes before the shutdown, Houston City Council Member Edward Pollard and rapper Bun B presented Toliver with a proclamation recognizing Aug. 11 as Don Toliver Day.
