Nick Pratto’s bases-loaded double in the seventh inning sent Triple-A El Paso to an 11-8 win on Thursday over visiting Salt Lake.

The double was the second hit of the game for the former first-rounder, who is hitting .236/.357/.371 with four homers in 43 games since signing a minor league deal with the Padres.

Left fielder Carlos Rodriguez (.800 OPS) drove in three runs on his fifth homer and catcher Ethan Salas (1.038 OPS) went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, a walk and a run scored.

Right fielder Dustin Harris (.968 OPS) drove in two runs on two hits, including a double.

Right-hander JP France (2-3, 3.76 ERA) allowed a run while recording two outs in being credited with the win.

Right-hander Sean Boyle (5.85 ERA) allowed a run in five innings in the start.

El Paso is 49-67.

Missions 8, Frisco 6: 3B Ryan Jackson (.664 OPS) drove in two runs on his third homer. SS Carson Tucker (.692 OPS) drove in two runs on his second homer and RF Jack Costello (.857 OPS) drove in two runs on his first homer. RHP Eric Yost (6-2, 3.47 ERA) struck out eight and allowed five runs in 5⅓ innings in the win.

Inland Empire 8, Storm 1: RHP Lan-Hong Su (0-3, 7.08 ERA) struck out four and allowed three runs in 2⅔ innings in the start. LHP Zack Qin (6.86 ERA) struck out six and allowed two runs in 3⅔ innings in relief. SS Jorge Quintana (.677 OPS) doubled twice. 1B Chris McHugh (1.615 OPS) went 2-for-4.

 

 ROOKIE ACL BROWN (11-40)

Padres 1, Reds 0 (7): RHP Randy Soto (1-5, 7.96 ERAO struck out five and allowed one hit and two walks over six shutout innings in the win. 2B Rafael Moran (.642 OPS) went 1-for-1 with an RBI and a walk.

 

ROOKIE DSL GOLD (38-14)

Padres 15, Guardians 7: C Angel Mejia (.689 OPS) drove in four runs on three hits, including a triple. LF Cristian Benavides (.813 OPS) tripled, doubled twice and drove in thee runs. 1B Jeanfranco Fernandez (.691 OPS) went 3-for-6 with an RBI and a walk.

 

Note: High Single-A Fort Wayne had its game at Quad Cities canceled due to wet grounds. A regional power outage canceled Tuesday’s games. The TinCaps only have one doubleheader scheduled in the series (on Saturday).
