The BIG3 semifinals tip off in Dallas on Saturday with 4 teams vying for spots in next week’s championship game
The host Dallas Power (7-1) secured the top seed for the BIG3 playoffs and will host the playoffs in Week 9 of the season on Saturday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. The Power take on the defending champion Miami 305 (4-4) in the second semifinal after the Boston Ball Hogs (5-3) clash with the Chicago Triplets (6-2) in the first game. The day’s events tip off with the annual Celebrity Game featuring Team Panini and Team iHeart. The Power seek their first title since 2018, while the Triplets won it all in 2019, The Ball Hogs have never reached the championship game.

Chicago lost a shot at the top seed on Sunday with a 50-40 loss to the Power in Boston. Greg Monroe powered Dallas with 16 points and 13 rebounds while Elijah Stewart went for 16 points and 10 boards and Cameron Smith put up 12 points and 12 rebounds. Montrezl Harrell scored 24 points with 10 rebounds for the Triplets and Brandon Moss finished with 10 points and 13 boards.
Boston lost its regular-season finale to the Detroit Amps 51-39 at home on Sunday. Jeremy Pargo scored 20 points in the loss for the Ball Hogs and Garlon Green added 10, with Deshawn Stephens getting 10 rebounds. Miami clinched a playoff return by beating the Houston Rig Hands 51-40 in Houston on Aug. 6 behind 25 points from Lance Stephenson and 20 points and 10 boards from Michael Beasley.
Harrell enters the postseason as the leading scorer and rebounder in the BIG3, averaging 30.6 points and 10.4 rebounds. Pargo scores 20.8 points per game for the Ball Hogs while Stephenson and Beasley each get 20.0 points an outing for the 305. The Power’s top scorer is Stewart at 16.8 points per game.
