Need something to do this weekend? Here is a list of five events happening in and around the Dallas-Fort Worth area Aug. 14-16. This list is not comprehensive and events are subject to change.
1. Frisco Roughriders game
Watch the Frisco Roughriders play baseball against the San Antonio Missions at Riders Field.
2. Dive-in movie in Richardson
Individuals 18 years old and up can drive to the Heights Family Aquatic Center to watch “Mamma Mia.” Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate.
3. McKinney Farmers Market
Shop for seasonal produce and homemade goods from 75 vendors in historic downtown McKinney.
4. Pottery workshop in Denton
Wildflower Art Studio is hosting an introduction to pottery class where attendees will learn to make ceramic bowls. Supplies, coffee and snacks will be provided.
5. Wine tasting in Grapevine
Winestein’s Tasting Room is hosting a blind cabernet tasting event where attendees will sample eight different Cabernet Sauvignons.
