CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Amanda Talbert appeared in court for a status hearing as her case continues to move toward trial.
Talbert is accused of making sexual advances toward young girls and grooming them for prostitution.
During the hearing, her attorney, Mark Gonzalez, said they are still waiting on extensive cellphone evidence before the case can proceed to trial.

Judge Missy Medary said the case has been on hold for too long and urged both sides to move forward with the remaining discovery.
“I empathize with the amount of evidence on this case, but it has got to start moving. Every time I turn around, there is more discovery to deal with. Let’s get these things done, get them turned over and be ready to pursue,” Medary said.
Talbert faces six charges: two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact and four counts of continuous trafficking of persons.
