The NWS Fort Worth TX released an updated heat advisory at 11:49 p.m. on Saturday in effect until Sunday at 8 p.m. The advisory is for Wise, Denton, Collin, Parker, Tarrant, Dallas, Hood, Johnson, Montague, Cooke, Grayson, Fannin, Lamar, Young, Jack, Hunt, Delta, Hopkins, Stephens, Palo Pinto, Rockwall, Kaufman, Van Zandt, Rains, Eastland, Erath, Somervell, Ellis, Henderson, Navarro and Anderson counties.
The NWS informs, “Heat index values up to 107 degrees and temperatures up to 105 degrees.”
“Hot temperatures and high humidity will increase the risk for heat-related illnesses to occur, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities,” says the NWS.
This advisory is in effect until Sunday at 8 p.m.
