If you’re searching for a creative side quest this weekend, look no further: The Goldmark Cultural Center is hosting a Midsummer Art Fair.
The cultural center began in 2018 with 10 artists in a converted office complex. Today, there are 170 visual artists from different backgrounds who practice their craft at Goldmark. Over the years the center has hosted many open studio events and its Midsummer Art Fair will take place on Aug. 14 and 15.
The fair will transform both buildings of the center into a celebration of creativity. Visitors can walk through each floor and meet the artists behind the works on display. There will be paintings, sculptures, ceramics, photography, mixed media, digital art, fiber arts and more. Guests will have the opportunity to buy any art they like.
There also will be new exhibitions, hands-on art activities and studio tours in both buildings. Admission and parking are free.
