EL PASO COUNTY, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies apprehended two minors after a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle on Aug. 9.
Around 10:24 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Buck Street and Mule Deer Drive regarding reports of a disturbance involving multiple minors.
When deputies arrived, they saw a vehicle leaving the area and determined it had been reported stolen. Deputies attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled, beginning a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit traveled through neighborhoods and major roadways in the Montana Vista and Horizon City areas, with the driver exceeding 100 mph and disregarding multiple traffic signals and traffic control devices.
The chase continued onto I-10 before eventually ending in a desert area near the 13000 block of North Loop Drive.
Deputies from the East Montana Patrol Station, Peter J. Herrera Patrol Station and Special Operations Unit apprehended the two juveniles with assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Clint Police Department and Horizon City Police Department. The stolen vehicle was also recovered.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, no injuries were reported in connection with the vehicle pursuit.

Evading Arrest/Detention with a Motor VehicleEvading Arrest/DetentionUnauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle
The juvenile passenger was charged with evading arrest/detention.
Both minors were referred to the Juvenile Probation Department for further proceedings.
