NMSP apprehends wanted Texas man in Las Cruces

New Mexico State Police apprehended Bryan Stewart, 42, a Texas absconder on Thursday, Aug. 13, in southern New Mexico.

State Police said El Paso County Sheriff’s Office were searching for a wanted Texas man who faces charges for an improper relationship between an educator and a student.

Officers got a tip that 42-year-old Bryan Steward violated his probation and was traveling in New Mexico.

An off-duty supervisor spotted Steward at a local Walmart in Las Cruces and was taken into custody.

Stewart was booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center.
