SAN ANTONIO – A young bull calf was spotted wandering through a Walmart parking lot Tuesday morning.

Shoppers at the Walmart Supercenter 1200 block of Southeast Military Drive reported seeing the Angus calf, which animal care services dubbed ‘Moodini.’

Under municipal law, livestock and dogs are prohibited from roaming freely within city limits.

“This bull calf apparently had little regard for municipal law,” ACS said in a statement.

With assistance from the police, ACS guided the animal out of traffic and into a nearby green space. However, the calf fled underground into a large drainage tunnel.

After traveling a distance through the subterranean pipe, the calf settled down for a short rest. ACS officers subsequently removed the animal safely and loaded it into a waiting livestock trailer.

Authorities have asked anyone who recognizes the calf or has information regarding its owner to contact 311.
