OBITUARY
Victor F. Johnson, 82, of Plano, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2026. Vic is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Barb Johnson; children, Jeff Johnson, Matt (Shawn) Johnson and Julie Smith; grandchildren, Logan, Natalie, Amanda, Ashley and Lindsay and great grandchildren. Vic was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Della Johnson and siblings, Sharon Ford and Norm Johnson. Vic retired from Impact after 48 years of loyal service. He enjoyed many small pleasures in life including bowling, yard work and tinkering in his garage. He was most happy doing anything outside but especially loved canoe trips with his family. Every Labor Day weekend would include a canoe trip on the Fox River, traveling from Sheridan to Wedron, which was a 12-mile trip. He was also known to set up a campsite right in his own yard so that his children and their friends could enjoy the outdoors he so loved. They would set up tents and cook food over a campfire. Vic will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Family will be receiving guests on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 1:00pm until time of service at 3:00pm at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 South Broadway, Montgomery, IL 60538.
