Jimin from BTS kissed a young cancer patient on the cheek at the group’s show at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Aug. 15. The child, Olivia, attended through Make-A-Wish Foundation’s program for children with critical illnesses.
The K-pop star approached a section set aside for Make-A-Wish participants during the performance. A black keychain was handed to Olivia before he hugged her and planted a kiss on her cheek. “I got a kiss!” the young fan shouted, according to Inquirer.net.
Heroes for Children shared video footage of what happened on Instagram on Aug. 17. This Texas-based nonprofit assists families whose children battle cancer. “We are still not over this moment,” the organization posted. “Thank you, BTS, for giving our girl Olivya the sweetest hug at last night’s concert in Arlington! A core memory she’ll never forget.” Olivia’s mother thanked the singer and the group on social media.
