LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Progressive Insurance announced an expanded investment in college athletics through a new agreement with Texas Tech and 12 other football programs and their Learfield partners.
The agreement places Progressive on-field branding at Texas Tech, Boise State, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue, SMU, Syracuse, Kansas State, USC and Wake Forest.
“The Texas Tech brand has never been more visible, allowing us opportunities such as this to partner with an established national brand such as Progressive,” Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt said. “We’re proud to add Progressive as a national partner and have its branding on our field at Galaxy Stadium.”
As a sponsor of each university, Progressive’s presence will include in-game videoboard features, in-venue LED signage, digital and social media integrations and other gameday elements.
“College athletics offers brands a level of fan passion and loyalty that’s hard to match,” said Shawn Hegan, Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships at Learfield. “This program gives Progressive a consistent presence across some of the biggest stages in the sport while creating meaningful connections with fans throughout the season.”
Progressive’s branding and marketing elements will debut with the start of the 2026 college football season. The agreement was facilitated by Learfield’s corporate partnership team.
