LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Project 9:12 is hosting a Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, August 22 from 3:00 to 7:30 PM at Lubbock Indoor Pickleball, 1001 S Loop 289 #110. The Just For Fun tournament starts at 3 p.m.; the Competitive Tournament starts at 5:30 p.m..
This event, “Project 9:12 raises funds to provide resources that will allow Christians in destitute countries to be self-sustaining. For nearly a decade, evangelist Short Mumpande has driven the rough roads of rural Zimbabwe to teach preacher classes and serve village congregations. The truck that has carried him is finally worn out. We are raising $15,000 in support of this project.”
It’s $40 per player per tournament. There are only 48 spots available, but family and friends are welcome to come. There will be burgers and the Kurbside Sweets ice cream truck.
