LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Literacy Lubbock will host the Lubbock Book Festival on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Overton Hotel and Conference Center.
The family-friendly event will feature over 70 authors, book signings and workshops starting at 9 a.m.
“Kids Chapter” will offer crafts and reading activities for children.
“The Lubbock Book Festival allows our community to come together and celebrate books, authors, and the importance of reading,” said Elizabeth Rivas, a Literacy Lubbock board member.
Proceeds from the festival benefit Literacy Lubbock, which provides adult tutoring, GED preparation, and English-language instruction across the South Plains.
Early-access tickets for noon author signings are $25, and general admission tickets starting at 1 p.m. are $15. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Tickets and schedule details are available at www.lubbockbookfest.com/
