SAN ANTONIO — Four people were arrested Aug. 15 near the Alamo on criminal trespass charges after authorities said they failed to comply with multiple warnings.
The Texas Department of Public Safety identified those arrested as Jacob Miller, Theodore Raymond, Michelle Martens and Tristan Diller. DPS said multiple warnings were issued before the arrests.
C.J. Grisham, an attorney representing all four, disputed the arrests and said his clients were exercising their First Amendment rights while advocating against abortion.
Grisham said the four were released Sunday morning after spending nearly a day in jail. They face Class B misdemeanor criminal trespass charges.
Grisham said he expects the charges to be dismissed and has challenged restrictions governing demonstrations and expressive activity at the Alamo.
