Katy’s Typhoon Texas water park will dump one ton of ice into a wave pool on Saturday to keep swimmers cool while temperatures are expected to climb over 100 degrees.
“It’s heating up in Houston—but we’re bringing the chill,” the water park says on its website.
Houston is in the midst of a persistent hot stretch that was expected to continue through the weekend.
The event will include refreshing drinks, “frozen fun and icy surprises,” according to the water park. Access is included with regular admission or a season pass.
Tickets to the water park start at $54.99, and season passes cost $89.99 for unlimited admission.
