In the world of name, image and likeness (NIL), those high school football players taking the field on Friday nights might already be millionaires. Long before they even make it to college football, let alone the pros, these Texas stars are already making bank on the gridiron.
Texas is home to eight of the nation’s top 100 high school football players with the highest NIL values, per On3’s NIL tracker. While the San Antonio area does not have a spot on the list, here’s a look at Texas’ wealthiest high school football stars.
Cedar Hill defensive lineman Jalen Brewster is ranked at No. 6 with an NIL value of $1 million. Palestine Westwood quarterback Kavian Bryant and Humble Summer Creek wide receiver Benny Easter Jr. are ranked No. 37 and No. 40, respectively, with NIL values of $650,000. All three are committed to play college football at Texas Tech.
Gilmer offensive lineman Ismael Camara and Texas Longhorns commit is ranked No. 47 with a $600,000 NIL value.
Houston Kingwood offensive lineman Kennedy Brown is ranked No. 54 with a $500,000 NIL value and is committed to play at Texas A&M.
Houston Langham Creek linebacker Jhadyn Nelson, another Texas Tech commit, is ranked No. 59 and also has a $500,000 NIL value.
Waxahachie safety JayQuan Snell sits at No. 71 with a $350,000 NIL value and is committed to play at Texas A&M. Meanwhile, Richmond Randle running back Landen Williams-Callis rounds out the list at No. 93 with a $300,000 value. He is committed to play at Texas.
