BELTON, Texas (KWTX) – Interstate 35 North at the Leon River bridge was shut down Thursday evening as authorities worked the scene of a deadly collision.
The Bell County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a social media post that its deputies were assisting the Texas Highway Patrol, and the Belton and Temple police departments.

It shared photos of a helicopter on the interstate at the scene of the wreck.
“Expect delays for some time,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a post.
