Fort Worth ISD’s Texas-appointed board of managers approved nearly $55.5 million in new spending in August, with most of the money tied to a new elementary school.

The largest item was $52 million for construction services connected to the replacement campus for Worth Heights Elementary. The project is funded through the district’s 2021 bond program.

Managers also approved more than $1.1 million for hazardous-material abatement at Daggett Middle School, $993,000 for cloud technology services and about $558,000 for instructional support.

All six items passed 8-0 as part of the consent agenda. Manager Bobby Ahdieh was absent.
