Texas Rangers third baseman and San Antonio native Josh Jung has announced his engagement to girlfriend Kaylee Brown. The couple shared the news Tuesday in a joint social media post, writing, “Forever yours.”

Photos show Jung getting down on one knee to pop the question to Brown, who was emotional as they stood before a romantic backdrop of candles and pink and white roses. They reminisced on relationship memories together with photo spread set up at the intimate venue.

Jung told the Dallas Morning News that they have not set a wedding date. The pair will likely have a busy engagement season, with both groom and bride-to-be juggling demanding career aspirations.

Brown, a California native, recently graduated with a juris doctor from the Western State College of Law and is preparing to take the bar exam, according to a posts on her Instagram page.

Jung, meanwhile, is recovering a strained calf muscle, the Morning News reported. The MacArthur High School graduate and 2023 Express-News Sportsman of the Year was placed on the injured list about a month ago and has been jogging to rebuild his strength, the publication wrote.

The Rangers have not said when they expect Jung to return.
