E-bike rider taken to hospital as precaution after crash with car

SAN ANTONIO — An e-bike rider was taken to the hospital as a precaution after colliding with a vehicle on the South Side.

The crash happened near S General McMullen and W Commerce St as both the vehicle and e-bike were traveling southbound.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, the e-bike rider was traveling along the sidewalk when the driver turned into a parking lot, crossing the rider’s path.

The rider then crashed into the vehicle. The impact caused damage to the vehicle, including bending its step board.

The rider was taken to a hospital as a precaution. He did not report any broken bones or other major injuries at the scene.
