Dangerous heat will continue across South Central Texas today and into next week, with highs between 100 and 105 degrees, but there’s a chance of rain in the San Antonio area, according to the National Weather Service, even if it’s just for one weekend day. 

The heat index could reach 113 degrees, and a heat advisory remains in effect through Sunday afternoon, NWS said. 

There is a 10% to 15% chance for rain on Saturday afternoon. Additionally, there is also the chance on Thursday afternoon, according to the NWS forecast. 

Otherwise, conditions remain mostly rain-free near the Alamo City area. 

The NWS weekly outlook shows a 10% chance for rain in San Marcos and a 15% chance in Fredericksburg and Austin.
