Jacinto Scott Hinojosa age 62, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026. He was a beacon of strength, love, and wisdom for everyone who knew him. Born on Oct. 24, 1963 in Falfurrias,TX to Jacinto Hinojosa and Ernestina Trejo. Scott grew up with a natural inclination to care for others. While he may have been a brother/uncle by title to many, he was a true father figure to everyone who needed one. He possessed a rare, generous heart and an open-door policy, offering guidance, a listening ear, or a place to call home without hesitation. His impact stretched far beyond his immediate family, shaping the lives of nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends who looked up to him for the unconditional love and support only a father could provide. He is survived by his Father Jacinto Hinojosa, his siblings, Viola Hinojosa and John Hinojosa, his nieces; Jamie Ramirez, Jessie Ramirez, Jean Ramirez-Padilla, Angela Saldana, Aniyah Padilla, Reina Marquez and nephews; Samuel Padilla, Saul Padilla, Ezekiel Marquez, along with a community of loved ones who will carry his lessons forward. He was preceded in death by his mother Ernestine Trejo, and nephew Jaime Ramirez. He will be missed dearly.
