A few years ago, my son and I were in Albuquerque, New Mexico, when we decided to stop at Waffle House. I’ll be honest, I had never been to a Waffle House before, so I didn’t really know what to expect.
I’m not normally a huge breakfast person, but for some reason that day I was craving waffles. And let me tell you… Waffle House did NOT disappoint!
Ever since then, I’ve had a soft spot for a good waffle. The only problem? We don’t have a Waffle House here in El Paso.*Cries in Spanish* But that doesn’t mean we’re completely out of luck when the waffle craving hits!!

I had asked locals for their favorite wafle spots in El Paso and we got a solid list of local spots!
However, this time around I decided to take a look at Yelp to see what local spots people are recommending for waffles in El Paso. And there are actually quite a few places around town serving up everything from classic Belgian waffles to chicken and waffles, churro waffles, bubble waffles and even waffles loaded with ice cream and toppings.
The Best Places for Waffles in El Paso, According to Yelp1. Vibe-N-Thrive
6369 Montana Ave., Suite C, El Paso, TX 79925
Yelp currently has Vibe-N-Thrive at the top of its waffle search results, with a 4.5-star rating from 13 reviews.
What makes this one stand out? The waffles are a little different from your traditional breakfast waffle. One Yelp reviewer specifically raved about the protein waffles, calling them the best protein waffles they had tried. So, If you’re looking for something that feels a little more health-conscious but still satisfies that waffle craving, this could be one to try.
2. The Junction Brunch House
3001 Pershing Dr., El Paso, TX 79903
Coming in at No. 2 is The Junction Brunch House, which has an impressive 4.5-star rating from 192 Yelp reviews.
One reviewer described the waffles as light, fluffy and perfectly golden, along with perfectly cooked bacon. AKA heaven!!

At No. 3 is Salt + Honey Bakery Café, which has a 4.0-star rating from more than 600 Yelp reviews.
That’s a LOT more reviews than some of the other spots on the list, so there’s definitely plenty of local feedback to consider. And yes, the waffles get some serious love. One Yelp reviewer called them the best they had ever had and also mentioned the chicken and waffles.
4. The Toasted Yolk Cafe
5860 N. Mesa St., Suite 133-135, El Paso, TX 79912
Coming in at No. 4 is The Toasted Yolk Cafe, which currently has a 3.9-star rating from 16 Yelp reviews.
While the Yelp reviews are more limited compared with some of the other restaurants on this list, it’s still showing up among the top waffle-related results for the El Paso area.
5. Coffee Waffle
13178 Alameda Ave., Suite A, Clint, TX 79836
Rounding out the top five is Coffee Waffle, located in Clint, just outside El Paso.
It has a 4.4-star rating from 51 Yelp reviews, and reviewers seem to really like the waffles. One reviewer called it a great place for waffles and mentioned trying the CC Waffle and Coffle.

So if you’re willing to make a short drive outside the city for your waffle fix, this one might be worth adding to your list.
