LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – One person is hospitalized after an early morning RV fire in east Lubbock County.
Lubbock Fire Rescue says just before 6 a.m., crews responded to reports of an RV on fire at the Lubbock RV Park near the 4800 block of I-27.
Upon arrival, crews found one RV engulfed in flames, the fire rapidly spreading threatening a nearby RV.
Crews immediately began fire suppression operations to prevent it from spreading. The nearby RV sustained minimal exterior damage.
LFR says one person was taken to UMC with burn injuries.
The Lubbock Fire Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire was accidental. Fire Marshal’s found the fire originated from an unattended stove top that remained on for an extended amount of time, with items placed on top of the stove.
