LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Construction will soon begin on a second H-E-B location in Lubbock.
The start date of Dec. 21 was confirmed in October, when a developmental site plan review was completed with the city.
The grocery store will be built next to Yates Flooring near 19th and Frankford. It will include a 130,000-square-foot main store, a car wash and a fueling station.
The work is expected to be done by November of next year.
Yates Flooring had plans to move locations away from the expected store site, to 122nd and Quaker. The new location opened today.
In a Facebook post, the Yates team said it is excited to start this next chapter at its new home.
