The Dallas Wings are offering UTA students, faculty and staff discounted tickets to their game against the Portland Fire at 7 p.m. Tuesday at College Park Center.
Tickets start at $23.36 and would seat fans in the upper deck facing the baseline on the home side of the floor.
Discounted tickets can be found online.
The matchup is the team’s second to last before the league takes a two-week break for the FIFA Women’s Basketball World Cup, hosted in Berlin, Germany.
In addition, Tuesday will be the fourth to last WNBA regular season game at College Park Center, as the Wings will move to the American Airlines Center in Dallas next season.
The Wings, who currently sit in eighth place in the WNBA standings, can clinch a playoff spot with a win over the ninth-place Fire, according to a Dallas Wings PR Twitter post. The two teams are the only ones in the league whose postseason status remains undetermined.
Dallas features second-year guard Paige Bueckers, who at press time ranks seventh in the WNBA in points per game, third in field goals made per game and eighth in assists per game.
Alongside Bueckers is forward Jessica Shepard, who is third in the league in field goal percentage, first in triple-doubles, and second in rebounds per game and double-doubles.
Defensively for Dallas, while rookie guard Azzi Fudd had to undergo season-ending knee surgery, the team still features Finnish forward Awak Kuier, who’s seventh in blocks per game.
Meanwhile, Portland has French guard Carla Leite, who places third in the league in turnovers per game and sixth in assists per game, and center Megan DiLeo, who’s seventh in field goal percentage.
Defensively, the Fire features forward Emily Engstler, who has the sixth-most blocks per game in the league, and Canadian forward Bridget Carleton, who’s 10th in steals per game.
Portland also features second-year German center Luisa Geiselsöder, who was selected from Dallas in Portland’s expansion draft before the start of the season.
On the flip side, the Wings have guard Sug Sutton and forward Haley Jones, who were both waived by the Fire in May before being picked up by the Wings in June.
