SAN ANTONIO – A suspect has been arrested after allegedly breaking into his neighbor’s apartment, tying her up, and sexually assaulting her.

On Friday, deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Jorge Armando Mora, who has since been charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault, Burglary with Intent Sex Offense, and Evading Arrest with Prior Conviction.

According to the affidavit, deputies responded at 4:35 p.m. Aug. 20, 2026, to a sexual assault call at 10536 U.S. Highway 181 South. A 911 caller reported a rape had happened about 20 to 30 minutes earlier and said the victim was outside nude, with her shorts down to her ankles, and her hands and feet tied with phone charger cords. The caller told investigators she untied the victim, helped pull up her shorts, and took her into an apartment.

Investigators said patrol deputies identified the suspect as Mora, who they said lived in a neighboring apartment with his girlfriend. The affidavit states that when deputies knocked on the door of the apartment and entered in full uniform, Mora fled through a bedroom window. Deputies pursued him on foot but did not apprehend him, according to the affidavit.

Investigators wrote that he interviewed the 911 caller, who said she went outside and found the victim standing at the end of the sidewalk, completely nude with cords tied around her wrists and ankles. The caller told investigators a towel was on the ground next to the victim and that the cords left marks on the victim’s skin. The caller said she took the victim into he apartment, gave her a shirt, and called the victim’s mother.

A detective said he later interviewed the victim at Mission Trails Hospital at Brooks City Base. The victim told investigators she was sitting on her bed at home alone when an unknown man walked into her apartment. She identified him as a new neighbor, described as a tall Hispanic man with glasses and a tattoo of a name on the back of his shoulder, later identified as Mora, according to the affidavit.

The victim reported Mora tied her wrists and ankles with black and white phone charger cords and undressed her, the affidavit states. The victim told investigators Mora was wearing a jersey but became fully undressed during the assault.

The victim also reported Mora told her, “B*tch, shut up,” and held a gun to her head, according to the affidavit. The victim said Mora threatened to hurt and kill her family and do the same things to her mother if she told anyone.

After the assault, the victim said she cried for help and went outside her apartment door, where the 911 caller found her, the affidavit states.

The victim told investigators the assault lasted a long time and that she lost consciousness after hitting her head. Investigators wrote that he observed ligature marks on the victim’s wrists and ankles and that the victim said she was sore from being tied up.

A Texas forensic nurse examiner conducted an exam and confirmed the victim had been sexually assaulted, according to the affidavit. The nurse also reported the victim said Mora put his hands around her neck, causing her to have difficulty breathing and become unconscious.

Based on the investigation, investigators wrote that there was probable cause to believe Mora “intentionally and knowingly entered the victim’s residence, with intent to commit Aggravated Sexual Assault,” and requested a warrant for Mora’s arrest on the charge of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit a sex offense.

Mora remains in custody at the Bexar County Jail with a total bond amount of $235,000. The above offences remain allegations until the suspect is convicted by a criminal court.
