LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Inspectors with the Code Administration Department will be out in the Maxey Park neighborhood on Wednesday looking for violations, from 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Code enforcement will have a field office set up in the parking lot of the Maxey Community Center where residents can ask questions or report violations.
A roll off dumpster will also be provided near the office to allow residents to get rid of unwanted bulky items like furniture, appliances, or tree branches.

The Code Administration Department will conduct a Neighborhood Deployment in the Maxey Park neighborhood on Wednesday August 26, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This exercise area will be bordered by 19th Street, Indiana Avenue, 34th Street, and Quaker Avenue. Code Administration will have a field office set up in the parking lot of Maxey Community Center at 30th & Nashville.
The object of this exercise will be to identify violations relating to Junked Vehicles, Nuisance Weeds and Rubbish, Substandard Housing, and Zoning. Code Inspectors will be talking to the public about city ordinances, citing violations, and possibly abating violations during this exercise. Solid Waste will provide a roll off dumpster at the field office for the citizens in the defined area to dispose of unwanted bulky items such as furniture, appliances, or tree branches.
