A man in his early 20s has died after an early morning shooting on Corpus Christi’s west side, according to police.
Corpus Christi police were called to the 300 block of Brooks Drive around 1:21 a.m. Tuesday for a reported shooting.
Officers found the man with a gunshot wound and gave him first aid until medics arrived. He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.
Police said an initial investigation found that a disturbance happened before the shooting. Multiple people at the scene were detained and taken to the police station for interviews.
Investigators said the people involved knew each other and called the shooting an isolated incident. No arrests have been announced. The investigation is ongoing.
