Fort Worth firefighters are working to contain a multi-alarm blaze that has engulfed a two-story apartment building on the west side of the city early Tuesday morning.
7:30am (Tuesday) Media Advisory— The Fort Worth Fire Department is currently working a 3-alarm apartment building fire. Multiple families displaced with @RedCrossNTX emergency assistance en route. There has been one injured firefighter and the situation is still developing.

The fire is burning in the 6700 block of Calmont Avenue, near Interstate 30 and Green Oaks Boulevard, Fox 4 KDFW reported. Firefighters were called to the scene just after 6 a.m.
At least three alarms have been sounded, bringing dozens of firefighters to the scene. Traffic cameras and images from the location appeared to show the structure fully engulfed in flames.
Thick black smoke from the fire is visible along Interstate 30 near Green Oaks Road, contributing to traffic delays in the area.
It is not yet clear whether anyone was injured in the fire, though Fox 4 reported that at least one firefighter was taken from the scene in the back of an ambulance.
The number of residents affected or displaced by the fire has not been released. The cause of the blaze was not reported.
