Japanese curry and bento boxes have come to Downtown Plano at Curry Tei & Bar.
Curry Tei & Bar, a Japanese comfort-food establishment, opened in Downtown Plano last week.
The new restaurant comes from the team behind Okaeri Cafe, a Richardson-based cafe known for its traditional Japanese seating and a larger-than-life Shiba Inu statue.
The menu highlights Japanese curry, simmered with carrots, potatoes and onions, served with a choice of steamed rice or udon and a choice of protein and spice level ($15-$18). Bento boxes, which feature a choice of entrée, steamed rice and two sides, are available for $16-$19.
A variety of teas, specialty cocktails and sake are also available.
Curry Tei & Bar is located at 1001 14th St., Suite 100.
