Since graduating from Plano Senior High School in 1990, Alan Tudyk has acted in dozens of films, including voice work for Disney.
Alongside his acting prowess, Plano Senior High School alum Alan Tudyk is known by Disney fans for his voice work in Zootopia, Moana, The Adventures of Puss in Boots, Star Wars: Secrets of Empire, Ralph Breaks the Internet, Aladdin, Frozen II and Encanto, to name a few.
For these roles, he was inducted as a Disney Legend earlier this month at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event alongside Chris Berman, Jerry Bruckheimer, Susan Egan, Eric Goldberg, Anne Hathaway, Kim Irvine, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, the Jonas Brothers and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
“D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is where we come together to give our incredible fans an early look at what’s coming next across our company, while celebrating the legacy of the extraordinary people whose creativity has shaped Disney into what it is today,” said Josh D’Amaro, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company. “It’s an honor to celebrate our Disney Legends — their impact is felt in everything we do and recognizing them alongside the fans who love their work is what makes this event so meaningful.”
Disney Legends is a Hall of Fame award given by The Walt Disney Company to people who have “made major contributions to the company over the years.”
“Many actors have range, but Alan Tudyk’s range makes him one of Disney’s go-to voice actors, and in some cases…lucky charm. In fact, his vocal versatility is…Turbo-Tastic,” Disney‘s website says of the actor.
Tudyk voiced King Candy/Turbo in Wreck-It Ralph, and has been in every Disney animated movie since then, according to Disney.
