The entrance to Texas Hall is at 701 W. Nedderman Drive. The building hosts concerts and events.
For students coming back to class, the campus is just waking up. Soon, however, more events will begin to pop up in places like Texas Hall.
Here is a guide to events and how to obtain tickets.
Texas Hall is one of UTA’s concert halls, located on the west side of campus at 701 W. Nedderman Drive. Open since 1965, the event space has hosted performers like Coco Jones and Sexyy Red, as well as speakers like Ice-T and Bob Schieffer.
Jonathan Carroll, assistant director of event and venue marketing for special event facilities, said Texas Hall will have several events over the semester, including a Half Price Books-sponsored author event with Rick Riordan and Annabelle Oh and a concert with Mohammed Assaf, a musician on tour.
In addition to special events, the Department of Music has several concerts planned in Texas Hall, Carroll said.
Tickets to the events are listed on utatickets.com, Carroll said. From there, students will be able to buy tickets through AXS, a separate ticketing service.
“We’ll have all of our events, not all the university events but all the ones that we ticket either at College Park Center and Texas Hall, and they can sort of view the entire calendar there,” he said.
Prices vary for events, Carroll said, and deals and student discounts will occasionally be offered both on the website and on the social media accounts.
Students will be able to view their purchased tickets on the AXS website or app.
“There’s a ton of great events both at Texas Hall and College Park Center. We have a good variety of different stuff coming through,” Carroll said.
New events will be announced throughout the semester, he said. Students can stay updated through the website or on social media, @utatexashall.
