The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man whose body was found in an abandoned TXU Energy power plant last week, according to online records.

The man, 39-year-old Adam McClure White, had been reported missing to Fort Worth police in June. He was last seen in the 400 block of West Belknap Street, about a half-mile from the plant where he was found.

Two teenagers exploring the building in the 400 block of North Main Street found White’s body inside a pipe, about 10 feet down on Aug. 19, the Star-Telegram previously reported.

The Tarrant County Community College District has owned the property since 2004 and attempted to sell it last year. In April 2025, a 27-year-old woman died after falling down a 50-foot shaft near the power plant.

The medical examiner’s office has yet to determine White’s official cause of death, but a police source said last week that it appears he fell into the pipe.
