CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Visit Corpus Christi is recognizing the people and businesses helping make the Coastal Bend a great place to live and visit.

Nominations are now open for the organization’s annual State of Tourism Awards.

The awards recognize those working across the local tourism industry, with categories including Chef of the Year, Server of the Year, Dining Experience of the Year and Lodging of the Year.

Organizers say the tourism industry plays a significant role in the local economy, making it important to recognize the people working every day to support visitors and residents.

Nominations can be submitted by scanning the QR code provided by Visit Corpus Christi.

The deadline to submit a nomination is August 31.

Those nominated will then move into the voting round the following month.
