A 39-year-old woman is in custody after allegedly shoplifting multiple items from a north Fort Worth Walmart on Tuesday, police said.

Officers were dispatched to the Walmart at 8520 N. Beach St. about 1:10 p.m., according to the 911 call sheet. A woman had walked out of the store with stolen merchandise and tried to pour ammonia on some employees who attempted to stop her, the caller reported.

Officers detained the suspect at a nearby Starbucks. She requested medical attention and was evaluated at John Peter Smith Hospital, according to police. Officials didn’t say why she asked for medical help.
