The FDA said Jaime’s Foods ATX has recalled Jaime’s Spanish Village Jalapeno Ranch because it may contain undeclared eggs.
“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product,” the FDA recall alert said.
The jalapeño ranch was sold at Central Market stores and at local independent retailers in Austin starting on April 3, 2026.
“The recalled Jaime’s Spanish Village Jalapeno Ranch dressing is packed in 16 oz (45.5g) glass jars with UPC #199284564923,” the FDA said. “Recalled lot numbers include the following: 69, 86, 108, 113, 116, and 121. The lot code can be found stamped on the bottom of the jar.”
This recall was issued after an FDA inspection at the production facility found that eggs were omitted from the ingredient list and the allergen warning label.
No one has been reported sick as a result of this recall to date, according to the FDA. This recall is not linked to the ongoing massive jalapeño Class 1 recall that has sickened 431 people nationwide.
