Houston man acquitted of 2020 Bryan sexual assault, back in court on perjury charge

  • August 27, 2026

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – 34-year-old Timothy Randall was back in court this morning.

While he was acquitted of a 2020 sexual assault, he’s now facing more charges this time tied to his trial.

Randall pled not guilty to Aggravated Perjury and Possession of Child Pornography charges Wednesday morning.

The perjury charge stems from a trial back in March when he was accused of kidnapping a woman and sexually assaulting her.

He was found not guilty, but now a new indictment says he changed his story on the stand.

Conflicting statements during his testimony, such as claiming to have never touched the woman sexually to later saying they had consensual sex.

The defense has now asked for a speedy trial aiming for October, but the defense and prosecution are still waiting for the transcript from the first trial.

Prosecutors say they hope to have a conclusion before going to trial to avoid the survivor having to testify again.

No official trial date has been set for the case yet, and not much information has been released on the child pornography charge.

Prosecutors say the two cases could ultimately be split up.
