EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso police are asking for the public’s help finding Melvin Garcia, a 61-year-old man who was last seen Sunday after leaving the Salvation Army in Central El Paso.
Police said Garcia was transported to the Salvation Army at 4300 E. Paisano from a medical facility on Monday.
He told an employee he had been taken to the wrong location and would find his way back before leaving on foot.
Garcia is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 140 to 145 pounds. Police said he has a mental disorder.
He was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt, dark green cargo pants, black orthopedic Velcro shoes and a wooden rosary around his neck.
Anyone who sees Garcia or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call El Paso police’s non-emergency number at 915-832-4400.
