SEGUIN, Texas – A heavy police presence was reported at Seguin High School, prompting officials to ask the public to stay away from the area.
In a post on Facebook, the Seguin Police Department said there is “currently a heavy police presence at Seguin High School” and asked people to “please avoid the area and allow officers to safely conduct their investigation.”
According to the Seguin Independent school District on Facebook, Officers were called to SHS to conduct an investigation after dismissal, and students were instructed to evacuate.
Seguin PD is working to sweep the building; please know that all students are safe. Students can meet their parents at the Coliseum on Austin St.
Police said they will provide additional information as it becomes available and thanked the public for its patience and cooperation.
