Dallas Police are asking for help identifying a man recorded in a video who is wanted in connection with a homicide investigation.
Joshua Hardaman III, 25, was fatally shot June 3 during a confrontation in a parking lot on the 3500 block of Lancaster Road.
Investigators shared clips from two videos, hoping to identify the man’s killer. The first video showed the shooting and the second showed the suspected gunman running through a neighborhood.
In the first video, Hardaman can be seen talking with an unidentified man who was wearing a hooded jacket. The men appear to exchange something before there’s a confrontation. During the altercation, the unidentified man falls backward and Hardaman appears to have been shot. The video is redacted and after things turned physical, Hardaman was obscured behind a black box. The unidentified man was seen in the video scrambling to his feet and running away from the parking lot.
In the second clip, a residential camera recorded the unidentified man running down the sidewalk on Lea Crest Drive.
After the shooting, Hardaman was hospitalized in critical condition. He died in the hospital about three weeks later, on June 23.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Detective K. Castoral #10870, at 214-671-3666 or at kenneth.castoral@dallaspolice.gov.
