Tarrant County College trustees approved about $34.1 million in contracts, renewals and estimated annual purchasing authority Aug. 20. 

The largest item was $29.2 million in estimated purchases through cooperative, state and interlocal agreements to cover supplies, technology, facilities work, vehicles and other needs for fiscal 2027.

The amount doesn’t equal one contract or guaranteed spending. Charles Fennell, procurement executive director, said most individual purchases will fall below the $250,000 threshold for board approval. TCC must return to trustees if a purchase exceeds that limit or the college spends more than authorized.

Trustees also approved up to $3.25 million for insurance; a $771,147 Adobe agreement; a $455,555 landscaping renewal; and a $441,307 cybersecurity contract. 

Insurance costs could rise 10% because of market conditions and enrollment growth in covered health profession programs. Vicki Hutto, chief technology officer, said the Adobe agreement uses pricing negotiated by El Paso Community College. Identity Automation submitted the lowest of three bids for RapidIdentity cybersecurity.
