HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – An investigation is underway following a deadly stabbing on Thursday morning.
Deadly stabbing in NW Harris County
What we know:
According to the sheriff’s office, they received a call around 11:05 a.m. to a home on Stoneside Drive near Longenbaugh Drive.
Officials said during the call a 30-year-old man stated that he had stabbed his father. The 30-year-old man has been identified as 30-year-old Liam Jacob Sanders.

When deputies arrived, they were able to locate the man and detain him.
Further investigation revealed they found 64-year-old Aubrey Sanders with stab wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Authorities said they have had other calls for service at the location, but that was back in May of 2025. One was for a domestic disturbance and one was for a mental health warrant case where the suspect was taken for emergency detention.
Sanders has been charged with murder and has been booked into the Harris County Jail.
What we don’t know:
Officials have not said what led to the stabbing.
