EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A staff member was bitten by a snake on the grounds of Lundy Elementary School, according to a message sent to the school community by Principal Hillery Smith.
Smith said the incident happened earlier Friday.
No students were near the area at the time, and all students remained safe.
School officials said they responded immediately and were taking appropriate safety measures to protect students and staff.
“The well-being of our students and staff remains our top priority,” Smith said in the message.
