No weapon found after report involving Edison High student, SAISD says

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio ISD officers and administrators investigated a report Friday that a student at Edison High School may have had a weapon, but no weapon was found, the district said.

Principal Dr. Irene Cruz said officers and administrators immediately investigated after receiving the report and did not find a weapon in the student’s possession.

As a precaution, officers are increasing their presence on and around the campus, Cruz said.

“Student safety is a top priority at SAISD schools,” Cruz wrote in a letter to families, adding that the district will continue to keep families informed.
