ARLINGTON, Texas. (KOLN) – Nebraska swept through the “Spikes Under the Lights” tournament, winning two matches to claim a $350,000 prize.
The No. 1 ranked Huskers earned two-set wins over Florida and SMU the win the four-team exhibition tournament at AT&T Stadium.
Nebraska beat Florida 21-19, 21-18 before beating SMU 21-12, 21-11.
The court spans between the 30-yard lines, with most of the seating spread throughout the 100,000-plus-capacity stadium. The glass west end was covered with a curtain during the match.
“Spikes Under the Lights” is being broadcast on TNT.
