LAS VEGAS (WOWT) – The Nebraska Cornhuskers are set to begin their season in sin city as part of the Players Era Volleyball Showcase.
The AVCA preseason No. 1 Huskers look to begin another run at a title with matches against the UNLV Rebels and the No. 2 Texas Longhorns.
Nebraska’s match against UNLV will take place at 7 p.m. CT on FS1. The match against No. 2 Texas will go down 2:30 CT on FOX. You can also catch coverage of both games on the Huskers website.

Nebraska, coming off a 33-1 season that ended in a loss to the eventual national champion Texas A&M Aggies in the NCAA Regional Finals in Lincoln, are looking to start the season strong in a year where they return All-Americans Andi Jackson, Harper Murray and Bergen Reilly.
Most recently, the Huskers claimed $350,000 after sweeping their way through the first Spikes Under the Lights tournament, beating the No. 17 Florida Gators and the No. 11 SMU Mustangs on their way to that payday.
On Sunday, Nebraska will face a very familiar opponent in No. 2 Texas. Historically, Nebraska holds the edge with a 33-25 record all-time against the Longhorns. However, Texas has had the last laugh, with the last meeting between the squads resulting in a sweep in the 2023 National Championship.
Saturday’s meeting will mark the first between the Huskers and the UNLV Rebels.
